The Role of Metal-Organic Frameworks in the Fabrication of Sensors & Biosensors

Short Biography

Prof. Ali A. Ensafi graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Shiraz University (Iran) in 1991. Then, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Isfahan University of Technology (Iran). He became full professor in 2001.

Dr. Ensafi has an H-index of 65 (Google scholar) and has published more than 485 ISI papers in addition to presenting in 150 international and national conferences. He has received three international awards. He is also author and co-author of four books (Academic Press, Springer publishers, and Elsevier) as well as associate editor of Journal of the Iranian Chemical Society (Springer publisher) and member of Editorial Board of 13 International Scientific Journal. Dr.Ensafi is among top 1% of Scientists in Chemistry in Thomson Routers, Essential Science Indicators, and in Sciences (Organization of the Islamic Countries).

His research interests include the development of sensors and biosensors (based electrochemical and spectroscopic methods), significant biological and pharmaceutical compounds, new energy source materials for fuel cell, supercapacitors, and storage energy using new nanocompounds.

  • Development of New Energy Source Materials Based on Nanomaterials for Fuel Cell and Storage of Energy.
  • Introduction of New Modified Voltammetric & Amperometric Sensors Based on Nanoparticles Using DNA and Antibody/Antigen to Construction of Biosensors and Pharmaceutical Sensors.
  • Environmental Chemistry, Trace Analysis.
  • Development of new energy sources materials for fuel cell, supercapacitors, and storage energy, using new nanocompounds.
