Short Biography
Dr. Huseyin Ozan Tekin is academic staff at University of Sharjah, Faculty of Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates (UAE). During his MSc. and PhD, he conducted various accelerator-based nuclear research at Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf (HZDR), Germany. He established the first research center (USMERA) for theoretical radiation research in Turkey. He is the European Regional Coordinator of the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT), the world’s largest radiography organization covering nearly 180 countries. He has nearly 200 SCI and SCOPUS indexed articles and more than 100 International Congress and Symposium papers in his field. Having 3 books published in his field, Dr. Huseyin Ozan Tekin has an h-index of 39 according to the SCOPUS index and his publications have been cited more than 3000 times to date. In 2018, he received the Turkish Physics Society’s “Prof. Dr. Sevket ERK Young Physicist Award.” In 2020, he was included in the “World’s Most Influential Scientists” list published by STANFORD University. He has wide interest on medical, energy and shielding applications of Nuclear Radiation Sciences. He is the official Scientific Advisor of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia. He is married and has one child
