Short Biography
Harold J.W. Zandvliet (1963) earned his PhD in condensed matter physics at the University of Twente in 1990. He then joined Philips Research in Eindhoven. In 2005 he became a full professor in applied physics at the University of Twente. His current research interests involve one- and two-dimensional materials, molecular electronics and scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy. Harold Zandvliet is an APS outstanding referee and an elected Fellow of the IOP (Institute of Physics)
